Boys Win Another Close One Versus a Tough Medfield Team 24-31 as Joey Annand breaks the Norton Course Record and Stays Undefeated; Katie Bradley Wins for the Girls!

In a very tough battle with a deep Medfield team, the Lancer boys were able to secure another win this season 24-31.  The boys went 1-2-5-6-10 for the win.  Senior Captain Joey Annand took the race from the start and ran his way by himself to a new Norton course record of 16:56 and the win! Austin Carroll was able to grab second for the Lancer boys, while Thomas LeClaire and DJ Nihill stayed close and took 5th and 6th overall.  Joey Cronin paced himself to a sub six minute per-mile-pace rounding out the scoring 5.  The top 5 Norton boys are now all under 6 minutes per-mile-pace now! Rounding out the varsity 7 was James Wilson and newcomer freshman rookie Ethan Tetrault! Congrats on earning a varsity letter Ethan.  All but two of the boys got personal records.  Congrats to you all!

The girls were handed a tough loss today 33-26.  Katie Bradley continued her winning ways beating the second place overall Medfield runner by 36 seconds.   Senior captains Kamrynn Bowman, Sarah Anderson, and Renee Sanford placed 3rd, 5th, and 13th respectively.  Rounding out the varsity seven was Hannah Deleah, Calie Shea (returning from injury), and Kaylee Annand.

Norton looks to compete in their first invitational of the season at the Wrentham Developmental Center at the Frank Kelley Invite this Saturday afternoon starting at 12:30!
