Norton Maintains Position at TVL Championships....

Kevin Rogers and Erica Callahan led the way for the Lancers as Norton defeated Ashland, Medway, and Bellingham to earn 6th place overall at the 2010 XC Tri-Valley League Championship. Rogers placed 26th out of 63 runners with a per mile pace of 6:00 and Callahan placed 30th out of 54 runners with a per mile pace of 7:28. Most Norton runners ran faster on this extended 3.1 mile Medfield course than previously on the 2.9 mile course. Spotlight athletes on the guys' side in the Championship were Matt Remick and Dan Sugar. Remick was just one second off of his PR with a 7:18 per mile pace on this strenuous, hilly course. After getting called up to the Varsity Squad on the bus before the race, Sugar ran a speedy 6:24 per mile pace and placed 5th for the Lancers in the meet.

Spotlight athletes on the girls' side were Jess Greco and Brittany Alioto. Jess Greco finished second for the Lady Lancers just behind Callahan with a 7:30 per mile pace. Brittany Alioto ran a 7:42 per mile pace on this very challenging XC course.
