Norton Girls Make History by Beating Westwood for the First Time in Program History 28-29! Boys Move to 7-0 and Stay Undefeated with Perfect Score 15-50 versus the Wolverines!

Norton & Westwood teams prep for race start!
A HUGE congrats to the Norton girls cross country program who defeated the Westwood Wolverines for the first time in Tri-Valley League history.  They beat them with the closest possible score in  cross country: 28-29!  Congrats to the varsity runners who held off a slew of Westwood runners (22 to be exact) as we took 1st (Anya DiLorenzo with a personal record) and 2nd overall (Corina Jurczyk with a huge PR pace), and 6th (Caroline Weber with a huge PR) and 7th overall (Sarah Anderson with a huge PR)!! You all ran so great today and I am VERY proud of you, as is the boosters and the school!
The Starting Line - Norton vs Westwood
On the boys side, the Norton boys crushed the Wolverines who did run with the perfect cross county score of 15-50.  The "Fierce Five" of Billy Sullivan, Max Marcotte, Mike Tierney, Eric Sanford, And Chris Wrenn placed 1st - 5th with another 7 Norton runners coming in before the first Westwood runner!  Congrats to you boys on another GREAT meet and moving your undefeated record to 7-0 on the season.

Norton will next compete for the final time at home this season on SENIOR DAY against the MILLIS MOHAWKS, who are new to TVL Cross Country this year.  SENIOR DAY will be next Wednesday, October 9th.
