PietraSAVAGE Stays Undefeated in Races On the Season; Both Teams Fall to Deep Dover-Sherborn Squads

Bella Pietrasiewicz Stays Undefeated in Races on the Season After Her Win at Dover-Sherborn

Both teams fell to very deep Raiders squads yesterday in Dover. Being outnumbered in team size 6-1, the Lancers put up a fight, however, it just wasn't enough to hold off the extremely deep DS squads. The boys raced first and lost 44-19, and the girls raced second losing 36-21. Austin Carroll lead the way for the Lancer boys finishing second overall, while Bella Pietrasiewicz kept her undefeated season alive with the win. 

Both teams look to turn things around next week against Dedham, as they race them in a duel meet for the first time in TVL history, with Dedham joining the league last year and us not being in a duel meet against them. The meet will take place on Wednesday, October 3rd at 3:30 in Dedham.

Congrats to both teams on an incredible race day in Norton. 

The boys lost an incredible battle against the returning TVL Champion & MIAA Divisional Champions Bellingham 32-23. SEVEN Norton boys were under 6:00 minute per mile pace with 3 more between 6:00-6:01 pace! That is an incredible performance. 23 out of 25 athletes got PR's today as well, so congrats to all of those athletes. The boys move to 2-1 on the season!

The girls SWEPT the meet grabbing places 1st - 6th!! Girls won the meet 15-45 and stay undefeated on the season 3-0!! Congrats to Ang Connors on her varsity letter! 

And finally, a HUGE congrats to sophomore sensation Bella Pietrasiewicz who BROKE THE NORTON COURSE RECORD (previously held by Sarah Edwards -19:14- who is now Virginia Tech's #1 XC athlete) with a 19:09, good enough for one of the top times in the state this year!!! Congrats Bella!!

Both teams will travel to Dover-Sherborn next Wednesday (9/26) at 3:30 for their first away meet of the season against two very talented and deep squads.

In a Wet & Wild Meet, Norton is Able to Swim Their Way to a Victory Against a Solid Millis Mohawk Team; Girls Win 21-36, Boys 19-44!

Congrats to both teams on a very wet victory! With parts of the Norton home course under FOUR inches of water, the Lancers steadily paced their way to a win. The girls (now 2-0) won 21-36 and the boys (2-0) won 19-44.

The Lancer boys were lead by senior captain Austin Carroll edging out Mitchell White from Millis by 21 seconds for the overall victory. Behind them was a Norton pack of Ethan Tetrault, DJ Nihill, Thomas Bingel, James Wilson, Brandon Morabito, Gabe Dennett, Paul Wisnaskas, & Sean Wynne placing 3rd through 10th.

The Lancer girls were lead by sophomore phenom Isabella Pietrasiewicz, who won the girls race over Mikayla Hafford (Millis) by almost a full minute. Followed behind those two in third was Hannah Delea, then Sarah Lafrancois (4th), then Skye Goba (6th), Sydney Shea (7th), and Hope LeClaire (9th).
