The 2nd Annual Norton Track Boosters 5K Road Race/
Walk& 1 Mile Kids Fun Run

Sunday, November 20th, 2011
@ 11:00 a.m. 5K / 10:15 a.m. 1 Mile (Rain or Shine)

Mansfield Holiday Inn at 31 Hampshire Street in Mansfield, MA 02048 (Mansfield Industrial Park)

SUMMARY: The Norton Track & Field Boosters was established in the fall of 2009 by a group of ambitious parents eager to provide the best services, equipment, gear, etc. to the Norton cross country and track and field athletes. Portions of the race proceeds will go toward senior scholarships and local area food banks.

COURSE: A mostly flat, fast wheel measured USATF certified 3.1 mile course. The course is open to all runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. The race will start at the side of the Holiday Inn. TIMING: Rick Kates Timing.

AMENITIES/ AWARDS: MICROFIBER T-SHIRTS to the first 150 pre-registered participants. After 150, t-shirts will sell on race day for $15.00. New running shoes to the overall first place female and male runners donated by DB Sports (North Attleboro). Turkeys and Medals to the top three finishers in six age group categories male & female (18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+), as well as to the top Norton finisher. There will be medals to the top three finishers for girls and boys in the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run (12 & Under). Look also for our post race food, drinks, and raffle!

Norton Boys Clean the Ashland Clockers! Many HUGE PR's On the Day!!

The Norton Lancer boys cross country teams almost swept the Ashland Clockers with a near perfect score of 15-49. Norton took the top 6 places with all the top six athletes running a SUB-SIX MINUTE PER MILE PACE! Almost every athlete on both teams (girls & boys) got a personal record! The boys move their record to 2-2 on the season.

The Norton girls put up a strong fight but came just short with a score of 29-26. Almost every girl achieved a big PR!

ANNUAL CAR WASH ANNOUNCED!

The Norton Cross Country Boosters are hosting their annual car wash this Saturday September 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.

It will be at the McDonald's in the Roche Brothers parking lot in Norton.

Donations are accepted!

Medfield Cruises Past Norton; 3 Norton Boys Go Sub-6!

Medfield cruised past Norton easily with a perfect 15-50 score on the girls side and a 17-41 score on the boys side.

3 Norton boys ran sub six minute per mile paces in the race with their best races on the season: Max Marcotte, Billy Sullivan, and Mason Rouillard.

Hopkinton Reinforces Why They are Called the Hillers With An Easy Win Over Norton...

The Hopkinton Hillers cruised up their hilly course to beat the Norton girls and boys soundly. The girls lost the meet 44-17 and the boys lost 49-15.

Norton's Jess Greco ran a good race and broke up the girl's top 5 placing 4th overall, while Stacie Linfield took 6th overall.

Norton's Waxy Maxy Marcotte placed 7th overall on the boys side to prevent the Hillers from a perfect score.

The Norton girls and boys cross country teams won their first match against the Bellingham Hawks today! The girls won 18-45 and the boys won 15-49!

Sophomore Jess Greco won it for the girls with Stacie Linfield a close second behind.

Sophomore Max "Waxy" Marcotte won it for the boys with 4 of his teammates within 7 seconds of him. The boys took places 1-6!
