Norton Shines at MSTCA Frank Kelley Invite Meet: 9 Medals and 27/30 Personal Records!

The Norton girls and boys teams shined today at the MSTCA  Frank Kelley Invite. The varsity girls placed 5th as a team while the boys placed 7th.  The Lancers brought home 9 medals while 27 of the 30 athletes who attended the meet achieved personal records.  Senior captain Chris Wrenn (16:38) and junior Joey Annand (16:46) broke the Norton cross country school records in the 5K. Wrenn broke Billy Sullivan's record from 2014 by 8 seconds of 16:46.4 with a 16:38.

Norton Girls Beat Dover-Sherborn Raiders for the First Time in TVL History 19-37; Boys Win 24-31! Both Teams Stay Undefeated at 3-0!

Congrats to both Norton XC teams on their double wins against Dover-Sherborn today!  The girls, for the first time in school and TVL history, defeated the Raiders with a score of 19-37!  The boys took down their boys 24-31!

Both Girls and Boys Beat the Medway Mustangs in Second Meet of the Season; Girls Win 19-39, Boys Win 18-41!

Congrats to both teams as they take down the Medway Mustangs at home in their second meet of the  season.  The girls started the day off with a convincing win of 19-39 and the boys followed suit with a score of 18-41.

Norton Girls Beat Holliston For the First Time in School History; Boys Take the Win As Well!

Sporting their new uniforms, and making history in the first meet of the 2015 season, the Norton girls took down the Holliston Panthers for the first time in school and TVL History in cross country! The girls went 1-2-3 with the trio of Katie Bradley, Kambrynn Bowman, and Caroline Weber.  Coming in 4th for the Lancers and 6th overall was Anya DiLorenzo.  Holliston was able to get 7 runners in before Norton's 5th runner but Norton was still able to take down the victory 24-33!

The start of the boys race - Norton vs Holliston 
On the boy's side, Norton holds the fastest tandem in the league with Senior Captain Chris Wrenn and Joey Annand going 1-2 while Senior Captain Parker Cleathero placed 3rd for the sweep.  Wrenn and Annand ran incredible raced despite the high heat index nearing 90 degrees with a 17:37 and 17:44 5k's! In their first meet of the season as well, the boys won 19-36 at home. Freshman Austin Carroll made his mark in his first ever race placing 4th for the Lancers and 6th place overall. Tom LeClaire was right on his heels placing 5th for the Lancer and 7th overall.
